5 Things That Have Annoyed Everyone Living On Provo
It's happened to us all at least once
Living in the Turks & Caicos comes with it's ups and downs. We have the best beaches in the world, an amazing local community and some of the best food on the planet. The last few weeks have seen everyone come together to support one and other to cope with an unprecedented disaster, and while we all have much bigger things to worry about, it's important to look ahead to a time when these little things will have the chance to annoy us once again.
1. When A Stop Sign Isn't A Stop Sign
Some are normal round-a-bouts, some are some sort of strange 4 way stop thing happening. We slow down to let people out, but then are flooded with people behind eager to pull out in front of you. Can't we all a just remember to give way to the right?
2. This Line Is For Returning Residents Only
So you've just come back from Miami and immigration is packed. You walk over to the left, to that familiar line where you're hoping to see some friends. Instead you see a huge group headed to Beaches that got lost somewhere along the way. Do you say something or just leave them in their holiday bliss?
3. Check Back Next Week
You've filled out the forms, you've had it notarized, got a copy of your passport, paid at treasury, have the receipt in hand and taken a long lunch break to sort it out. Do I really need to come back later?
4. Enough Is Enough
Ding! You check your phone. 15 minutes later, Ding! you check again. 10 minutes later, Ding! there's another one. Ding! Ding! Ding! are any of these texts from real people? Thank God we have WhatsApp.
5. The Line
You take an early lunch, you rush to the bank and just need to deposit one cheque and get some cash out for the weekend. Unfortunately for you, everyone was thinking the same thing. Turn back or tough it out, decisions decisions. Well, at least they have A/C.
To be fair, it's a small price to to pay for living in such an amazing place. Fingers crossed things will get back to normal soon and we can all go back to being annoyed by the little things in life.
