Things are looking pretty good for anyone living in the TCI right now but a year ago, the picture was very different.

With Hurricane Irma coming to batter our shores, many homes and resorts sustained major damage but as always, our wonderful part of the world emerged better than ever.

Now, Sharkbite in Turtle Cove is hosting a big party to mark the 'Irmaversary' and celebrate TCI's great recovery.

"Remember what you were doing on 7th September last year? Well we've decided we're not doing that again this year... instead, we're having an Irmaversary party to celebrate new roofs, upright palm trees and (mostly) continuous electricity."

After a tough year, we reckon that everyone deserves a rum punch and a bit of a celebration.

The 'Irmaversary' party kicks off this Friday September 7 from 7pm, with music from The Bar Band.

See you there!
