12 Times Retreat Kitchen Had Some Seriously Colourful Food
And It's Good For You
Lindsey and Laura have been in the health and wellness world for over a decade. They began Wellness Retreats in Turks and Caicos in 2008 on the small private island of Ambergris Cay. Their passion for island life, yoga and holistic wellness evolved to become their brand "Retreat". Retreat Kitchen is located in Ports of Call Plaza, Grace Bay, and conveniently neighbors the Yoga Studio for an easy transition from Yoga practice, to a fresh pressed juice, or hearty and healthful lunch meal.
There's no bigger fans of the Foodie scene than the team of Lovin TCI and we wanted to share some of Retreat's fantastic creations over the past few months. Our personal favourite is the Soup n Salad lunch combo, but there's no shortage of new meals coming out of the kitchen it's worth popping in to see what they have in store.
Lindsay and Laura, when wearing their chef hats, are inspired by Vegetarian, Vegan and Raw Food Philosophies and their focus is on creating healthful, nutrient abundant, plant based meals that are well balanced, sustaining, and delicious! They use organic ingredients where they can and work with all whole foods - everything is made from scratch, right down to the ground walnuts they use as a "flour" in their Banana Walnut Muffins, or the creamy swirl made from Cashews, added as garnish to their soups. The Kitchen grows organic sprouts, and wheatgrass, as well as makes fresh pressed juices, vegan snacks, and vegetarian lunch specials daily.
