Shark week indeed!

Last week saw a somewhat changed (due to absence and injury) SWA Sharks team climb back up to second place after beating Beaches 7-4 in a rather open game with some….er….relaxed defending going on, to say the least.

We don’t have the full report yet but there were some decent goals from both sides with Sharks’ new boy, Venezuelan Alfredo Sarcina scoring the pick of them after a mazy run past several players and a shot into the top right hand corner.

Team Beaches will need to step up their defence in future games

Also, Beaches’ Lenford Singh planted a nice header past Brooks from a corner to give some hope to Beaches (making it 3-1 at that point). Beaches had enough about them to come back into the game in the second half and it was 4-3 at one point until SWA Sharks pulled away with a goal from Pluviose. SWA Sharks gave debuts to new boys Tom Greenfield, Damian Palmer and Alfredo Sarcina, as well as stand-in Coach, Chris Bryan, all of whom acquitted themselves well whilst Beaches Coach Johnny Suckrajh was back in goal!.

SWA Sharks celebrate shark week in style!

Swa Sharks

This week sees Cheshire Hall v Full Physic at 5pm on Saturday. Cheshire Hall are still in with an outside chance of the title if Academy Jaguars slip up in their final game, so they will be looking for a victory. Full Physic will want to pip the SWA Sharks and Cheshire Hall into second place.
