Experts Have Revealed The Three Most Common Lies Told By Cheaters
Not the most inventive of excuses...
In an ideal world, if your partner had feelings for someone else, they would simply come and tell you so that you could move on without experiencing additional heartbreak.
However, this is rarely the case, and most times it all comes to blows when you finally catch them out for their sneaky ways.
And now, thanks to Bustle, it's easier than ever to find out if your partner, or your best friend's partner, is cheating by listening to the excuses they come up with.
1. "I had to work late"
First of all, working late doesn't automatically mean your partner is cheating on you. If they have always worked late hours since you began dating, or if it has only happened once or twice, you're probably in the clear.
It's only if they randomly begin working late all of a sudden that you should be worried.
Dating Expert Davida Rappaport said: "If your partner very rarely works late and they suddenly start working late on a regular basis, more than likely are cheating on you."
2. "I Have No Idea Why They Keep Texting Me"
This goes for emails and phone calls, too.
According to Bustle, if your partner receives inappropriate or 'sexy' messages from someone, they more than likely know exactly who is messaging them and why.
3. "You're Just Paranoid"
When a partner is cheating, it isn't rare for them to try and turn it around on you to make you feel paranoid, which is actually considered a form of emotional abuse.
Lisa Helfend Meyer, Certified Specialist in Family Law said: "you are suspicious that your partner is having an affair, they probably are unless you've been diagnosed as paranoid."
